We want this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology like screen readers, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation — a value that lines up directly with our fundraising partnership with Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports.
Our Approach
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In building and maintaining this site, we work to:
- Use semantic HTML so screen readers can correctly interpret headings, lists, and page structure
- Provide descriptive alt text for meaningful images
- Maintain sufficient color contrast between text and background
- Ensure the site can be navigated using a keyboard alone
- Keep interactive elements like forms and the results tables labeled and operable with assistive technology
Known Limitations
This site includes some third-party embedded tools — including our contact form and results tables — that we’ve styled to match the site but don’t fully control the underlying code of. We work to keep these usable, but some may have limitations we haven’t caught yet. Older archived results from prior years may also not be fully accessible in their original format.
Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site, please let us know — specifics about the page and what happened help us fix it faster. Reach out via the contact page, and we’ll do our best to address it promptly.
