The Allen Clark Hill Climb (“we,” “us,” “the event”) is a fundraising cycling event benefiting Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
When you use the contact form on this site, we collect the information you submit: your name, email address, the subject you select, and your message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and don’t add you to any mailing list without your separate consent.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — pages viewed, general location (city/region level), device type, and how you arrived here. This data is aggregated and doesn’t identify you personally. You can opt out using your browser’s Do Not Track setting or a browser extension like Google’s Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent spam submissions. Turnstile may process limited technical information (like your browser and IP address) to verify you’re not a bot; it does not track you for advertising purposes.
Race Registration
Registration and payment processing for the race is handled by BikeReg, a third-party event registration platform — not by this website directly. When you register, the information you provide (such as name, contact details, age category, and payment information) is collected and processed by BikeReg under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review before registering.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to questions submitted through the contact form
- To understand overall site traffic and improve the website
- To administer race registration, once that system is live
- To communicate essential race-day information to registered participants
We do not sell your information to third parties.
Data Retention & Security
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to and resolve your inquiry. This site is hosted on infrastructure with standard industry security practices; no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The race itself does have a “15 & Under” age category — for participants under 18, registration information is provided by a parent or guardian.
Your Choices
You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you or to request that we delete it, subject to any records we’re required to retain for event administration or legal purposes.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, particularly once registration payment processing goes live. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
